SUMMARY:Seminar, Fei Wei (Harvard), Entropy of arithmetic functions and arithmetic compactifications.
DESCRIPTION:
	<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="5e04f83f-ebfa-4856-8f39-5ad0420d716d" alt="Fei Wei picture" data-view-mode="hwp_small"></drupal-media>

Title. Entropy of arithmetic functions and arithmetic compactifications

Abstract. A new notion of entropy of arithmetic functions is introduced. It is shown that all zero entropy arithmetic functions form a C*-algebra. This entropy also behaves nicely with respect to limits similar to dynamical entropy of Kolmogorov and has many properties similar to Shannon’s entropy.
