DESCRIPTION:<p>	<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="3020ca00-1470-44a8-a86a-cdf433be7325" alt="James Glimm" data-view-mode="hwp_small"></drupal-media></p><p style="font-family:serif,Times">	<strong>Title:</strong> A Maximum Entropy Rate Principle and Other Turbulence Related Results and Speculations</p><p style="font-family:serif,Times">	<strong>Abstract:</strong> We prove a maximum entropy rate principle for physical solutions of the classical Euler equation.</p><p style="font-family:serif,Times">	Physical ideas enter at two points, to identify as physical the solution defined by a uniform measure on the particle phase space and to identify this measure as defining an Euler equation solution. The remaining discussion is mathematical in its basis.</p><p style="font-family:serif,Times">	We also discuss other turbulence related topics: scaling laws for partially developed turbulence, speculations regarding possible super renormalizability of QCD and the nature of type Ia supernova.</p>
